WordPress Nottingham is a casual, volunteer-organized, non-profit meetup covering everything related to WordPress the free and open source publishing software that powers more than 27% of websites on the Internet.

The Nottingham group is a chapter of the official WordPress meetup network, is very active and meets once monthly.

We also maintain a social media presence via Twitter, LinkedIn groups and Soundcloud.

We cater to people across the spectrum when it comes to WordPress familiarity and use, from beginners who need technical support, training and information to developers who are looking to sharpen their skills.

In Nottingham we have one formal event on the [first/second/third/etc] [day] of every month, with other events happening as members choose to organise them.

Why sponsor us?

By sponsoring WordPress Nottingham you will have the opportunity to partner with a key target audience of WordPress users, designers, developers, and business people. This group of decision makers are sophisticated web professionals and heavily dependent on web services.

By sponsoring us, you are not only presenting yourself to the attendees of this event, but also gaining exposure throughout their network of WordPress users and web professionals around the world.

WordPress users are heavily connected, not just locally but internationally, so your support may be observed, not just in Nottingham, the East Midlands and England, but also beyond.

We would like to work with sponsors who understand WordPress, rather than those just looking to promote their products or services.

If we have a natural connection, that common ground is ideal.

What will your sponsorship do?

WordPress meetups are strongly geared towards making WordPress as open and accessible to anyone who is interested in learning about using it, developing for it, or making a business out of it. Our meetups are inclusive, welcoming and open to anyone at no cost.

Sponsorships allow us to offer the Meetup to our members with food and a great venue for free. Ideally, Wi-Fi access would be made available.

Please do not think we just see you as a cash dispenser or provider of fancy food or high-end meeting spaces. This is really about helping to meet the needs of the group as modestly as possible.

The culture of the group is that of openness, fairness and transparency.

WordPress is open source software and money must not subvert the very nature of that which we are wanting to uphold. We do not want to make a profit from any sponsorship contributions, but we realise it is not free to live in the world and those who are willing and able to help would want to see some reciprocity.

What will WordPress Nottingham do for you?

In return for your sponsorship, we will feature your logo, URL and a short description on our Meetup page and website. We will add your logo and details, with a description of your business on our Meetup news slides and give you a shout out at the event.

If you’d like to come on board as a sponsor, we would ideally like a representative to attend our monthly Meetups.

Perhaps we could have you contribute some original content to this website, such as a written page or video/audio that is relevant and with a direct connection to WordPress, Open Source and Nottingham.

From time to time, we will send you updates on what your sponsorship has done for WordPress Nottingham, including pictures of recent events.

Thank you for taking the time to consider sponsoring [Your Group Name]. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to discuss this further or have any questions.

We looking forward to the possibility of working with you.
